In the vein of Meet the Parents and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Anita Ho follows down-on-his-luck Harry Ho, who finally decides to propose to his girlfriend, Anita, on her 30th birthday. But when Anita decides to spend her birthday in Las Vegas with her entire family - who has never met Harry - the fireworks begin! Unbeknownst to the young couple, Anita's traditional Chinese parents have a nice Chinese doctor in mind for Anita, and they don't approve of Harry, an unpaid Korean writer.

I'd love to see more of these romantic comedies

Surprisingly fresh and enjoyable! I'd love to see more of these romantic comedies.

Mixed Marriage

This is a clash of cultures. The photo probably looks like everyone is from the same heritage, but actually it is Korean versus Chinese. Most of the parents' complaints would also be true if it were Asian versus Caucasian so if you know anyone in a mixed marriage you will get tons of laughs from the parents' objections. Elizabeth Sung is hilarious as the new mother-in-law. I laughed throughout the film. And the young couple is as romantic as you could wish for. I've seen this comedy at two festivals and then bought a DVD. Anita Ho was Audience Favorite at International Family Film Festival.
