found this on laundry day, struggling to find a decent diversion to worrying about how I could make a 'productive' use of my day once the excuse of a load in the dryer had passed.

very clever film. as others have stated, a good representation of at least one manifestation of depression. not sappy Hollywood love story, but somewhat realist, believable one. Life in beige? I think the reviewer doesn't have a lot of personal experience with depression.

this was a pleasant surprise… it hit all the right notes for me.

Best film in several decades!

This is one of my all time favorite films. It is funny and truthful and great! Quality is very rare in Hollywood and life in color has quality in spades! It is a precious gem among decades of cinema detritus.

13 reviews--all 5 stars. It is great to have family and friends to "review" and recommend your movie, clearly based on your own life. I don't have an objection, except that the writer, (who also produced, directed, edited, and stars) has realized a singularly unlikeable character. I was depressed through the entire movie, and her performance as a virtually catatonic and--well frankly, bitchy--character, with her unblinking flat affect throughout, did not inspire me to want to even watch to the end--though I did. I just don't think this will resonate with very many people, despite the bounty of 5 star reviews.

Very Pleasent Surprise

At the start I wasn't sure about this flick - but it soon became apparent that there was brilliant acting and a brilliant story line. I loved it and would highly recommend this to those who love a great story with an incredible ending. This is a heart-warming drama very much seeing!
