What happens when a time traveling prostitute tries to avoid the executioner's axe while saving her true love's soul from the Devil? Your guess is as good as mine, because the plot of this 1956 Roger Corman stinker, an attempt to cash in on the short-lived "Bridey Murphy" hypnotism craze, and filmed in a converted supermarket, derails before you can say "past life regression." Pamela Duncan is a 20th century hooker whose dark ages counterpart is a virtuous maiden falsely accused of witchcraft...by a real witch, no less. Her milquetoast lover can't figure out where she's being held, a community theater Satan camps it up, and a jolly, singing gravedigger turns every one of his scenes into an endurance test for the audience. Yeah, THE UNDEAD has it all.

Fortunately, this gives Mike and the 'bots more than enough ammo for a sustained barrage of riffs that seem particularly inspired in this episode. Cheese aficionados take note that Allison Hayes, who co-stars as the evil witch Livia, would take the starring role in 1958's ATTACK OF THE 50 FT. WOMAN.
