"Pioneers In Aviation: The Early Years" is part one of a three part documentary about the men who created the US aerospace industry. Starting with footage of the Wright Brothers famous Army trials in 1908 "Pioneers" follows the lives of Donald Douglas, William Boeing, Dutch Kindleberger and James McDonnell through their beginnings and into the 1930s and the prelude to WWII.
